Sheath Dreses

Sheath dresses. Every woman should have at least two in her closet. They are easy to slip on, and accessorize. They are classy, chic, stylish and sophisticated. You can wear them to weddings, baby showers, at work, after work, brunch with the girls and so forth.

At one time I thought of sheathes as too plain and kind of boring. But now I have a closet full of them. I love them. They are truly elegant dresses.

The Black & White Trend

Awww....its spring, even for its just in the stores for now.

I don't always follow the trends, I may get a piece or two of what's considered "in", but this year, I'm on top of what's trendy this spring...black and white!!! 2 colors you just can't go wrong with.

In the March 2013 issue of Harper's Bazaar, on page 204 has some really get ideas and inspiration for this spring's trends. Its one trend I don't mind going along with since its always in and always classic.

Us women live in a male dominated world. They get paid more, have more job oppertuneties and so forth...but I'm not going all feminest here. I'm just naming all the reasons why its a beautiful thing to be a woman. In case one hasn't noticed, while men may excell at certain things, so do women. We may have to work a little harder at getting there, or it may come naturally easy, whatever the case, its a beautiful, wonderful thing to be a woman.

Christina Aguilera...The Voice of Our Time

Christina Aguilera. Some people like her, while other don't. I for one do like. I think she's an amazing singer and she really talented, but flip the coin, and I think she could pick better songs to write and sing. I liked Stripped (2002) and Back to Basics (2006) and there are a few tracks off her latest album, Lotus that are pretty good. I'd have to say her first 3 albums were best work and what she's known for: SINGING!!!

Vanity Fair March 2013

I rarely buy Vanity Fair, let alone read it, but this month I bought the latest issue of VF because its Special Collector's Edition. This was worth it to buy!!! Its such a good issue.

It features a varriety of stars from the past to the present. I love pages 186-191 which features timeless beauties such as Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, Ava Gardner to Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway, Katherine Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Kim Novak just to name a few...and then skip over to page 268 for the Charmed & Danerous to see Daniel Craig, James Dean in 1955 to Christian Bale, Javier Bardem, Sean Connery in 1962 on the set of Dr. No, to Jude Law, The Rat Pack, Richard Gere, Robert Downey Jr. (such a good actor, and so glad he cleaned up his life and has a successful acting career) and Jack Nicholson!

Pages 310 through 353 are amazing because it captures stars from the past to the present, some pics are in color while others are in black and white.

The spring/summer clothing ads from Hugo Boss, Gucci. Dior, to Celine isn't half bad either and gives inspiration for new spring and summer wardrobes!!! No,

If you haven't picked up the latest issue of Vanity Fair, do so just to see Hollywood at its best...

Not Doing Well...

Well...I've been sick so no gym time, and I've slipped some and eaten chocolate, a little more than I should, for one trying to lose a few lbs, but now that I'm well, thankfully, I can get back on the right track, which is such a good feeling.

Just had to send a little update...

Just An Update

So its been almost a week since I started my 28 day challenge. I have backslided a little bit, but not too much, thankfully.

Last Saturday I got together with some friends and we had some goodies, and then before the night was over, I had some chocolate, some cheese and then Monday and Wednesday I had some hot chocolate.

I've not been swimming yet this week, but I do plan on going tomorrow because I'm determined to reach my goal or at the very least, give it my best.
