Beautiful Beds

Since we spend a good part of our lives in bed, why not make it the most comfiest as possible. I like my bed to be welcoming and comfy as possible. I love my bedding. I've had for such a long time, even though every now and then I would like to change it, but when I look at it, I have some wonderful memories of my mom and I picking it out.

The foundation to a good bed is the mattress and box springs and then you build up by deciding on what size of bed you want from a twin to a California King.

Then after choosing what size of bed you want and can afford, get the best sheets you can afford. 500 count and above are the best. Macy's has the best 500 count sheets by Charter Club. They are on the pricy side, but so worth it.

Lastly, then comes the comforter and pillows galore!!! If you can't afford a new comforter/bed spread, why not make a duvet cover. Its usually cheaper than buying something totally new and you can have a one of a kind. You have better chance of having something no one else is going to have and its more your style and taste than what you'll find in stores.

Beautiful Vanities

One thing I enjoy looking at in both fashion, makeup and décor magazines are vanities. I like to see how they have been decorated and done up. Did they put family heirlooms and pictures on it or did they put different keepsakes and treasures they found while traveling. I keep some jewelry, a heart shaped box, a purple turtle lamp, and some perfume on my vanity.

 

 

 

Beautiful Closets



If you're going to have an amazing wardrobe, you should have a closet that follows suit. I believe a closet is the foundation to help build a nice, stylish wardrobe, like a certain outfit beckons for a new pair of shoes.

To me personally, a walk-in closet is a must. I have lots of beautiful clothes and I like to make my closet look like a nice small boutique. If you have to go in your closet every day to pick out clothes to get dressed, your closet should be well organized, clean and clutter free.

I live in an apartment, and thankfully I have a walk-in. My closet is big enough to hold a small shelf that displays my perfume, scarves and some hair magazines. Its also big enough to stash my ever growing collection of fashion magazines, as well as my shoes.

The Graphics

Trends come and ago, as fast as the seasons, but one trend I like, and its always a classic is black and white. I love the look because its fresh, yet tasteful and classic. You can add a splash of your favorite color with it. Mine would be fuchsia, or any other color. Black and white are seasonless, classic colors that can be dresses up or down, depending on your style. Take the Time to Just Unwind to Pamper Yourself

Taking the type to pamper yourself shouldn't make you feel guilty, it should be a must so then you're taking care of yourself on the outside such as getting your hair and nails done. Even some new makeup should be included in that. 

  This week I've taken the time just to unwind and pamper myself before this coming weekend, in which I'll be busy...again. I gave myself a manicure and pedicure, facial, a clay mask, and had my hair trimmed up by my favorite hairdresser who just opened up her own shop!!!!
Even though I had to re-do my nails because I smudged them, I find doing my nails soothing because you're just being still and calm, hopefully, and you can see your results. I took the time as well to do a clay mask like I did the other and now my skin feels super smooth and soft. I plan on doing clay masks every 2 weeks to keep my skin looking its best.

So take the time to unwind from a long day, and pamper youself with a long, hot bath, lighting your favorite candles, putting on your favorite tunes, and curling up with a favorite drink and a magazine or book.

What Every Stylish Woman Should Have Part 1 Trench Coats

Every woman should have a nice, stylish, chic wardrobe that says "You". So with some inspiration, below is a list of things every stylish woman should have in her closet. The next several posts will help to figure out what to keep, what to toss, and what to add to your closet. We all want to look and feel our best when we get dressed every morning, for different events and occassions.

As you get ready in the morning and look in your closet, is it filled with clothes you love or is it filled with clothes that keep you covered so you can get out the front door?

A trench coat should be a staple in a woman's wardrobe. They give off a sophisticated, yet trendy, classic vibe. They keep the wind and rain off in the spring and fall. They are perfect to wear on cool days.

Khaki gabardine is the classic, but playing around with color can be even funner. Black and tan/camel is always nice too , but color makes you stand out from the crowd just a little bit more. Try one in a deep purple or fuchsia, or sky blue.
