Intriguing Quotes and Inspiration

I for one have a few quotes that I like to read because they are intriguing and inspirational. I like quotes that inspire, awaken the mind, and soul. They make you think and say "Hmmm". They stop you in your tracks because it says how you feel, makes whatever you're going through easier knowing there is light at the end of a long tunel of darkness and it says about how you feel about true friends and family.

A Rainy, Stormy Night

Its a rainy night here where I live. A thunder storm actually. I find rainy, stormy nights a wonderful thing. Its a nice way to fall asleep after a long day. I find it little drops of inspiration. The lighting dancing across the sky at night as the thunder pounds out a just a short while later. Its just so beautiful to see and hear.

Rainy days can be the best days to just get things done around the house, such as cleaning out those closets, doing laundry, going through your wardrobe, and so forth. Plus staying indoors you can  curl up with a favorite book or magazine, or cleaning so then you don't have to stay in on a beautiful sunny day. Catching up on sleep seems to be the best thing to do on a rainy, stormy day or a soothing way to fall asleep to.

Jazz Music

I have a great love for jazz music. Its soothing, upbeat, yet relaxing and very classy. I love listening to it throughout the day, while I'm relaxing in the evening and so forth.


I do have to say, I've not always liked jazz. I can't really pin point why I didn't like it. I certainly didn't hate it. I guess I thought it was old-fashioned. At the time Tony Bennett & Frank Sinatra seemed kind of old fashioned and uncool to me, but now they are my favorite go-to jazz artists.

After a trip to Chicago, my love for jazz grew. I find jazz music like a fine wine, it gets better with age. It just creates a really nice vibe. Its my motovation on a bad day, a great way to end a long day with a favorite drink & the latest issue of a favorite magazine. Its the kind of music I like to listen to after a long weekend and I just want to relax and decompress. Its beautiful.

I have a foundness for Toney Bennett, Frank Sinatra, along with Michael Buble and Esperanza Spalding. I even like the jazzy tunes of Back to Basics by Christina Aguilera.
I've listed just a few of the albums I have...for now.

Just Decompressing to Close the Weekend

So its the end of the weekend. For once it just feels good to be at home. I'm either gone a lot or I'm busy when I'm at home and just kicking back isn't quite on my agenda, but today it is.

While I got out for a few hours earlier, it just feels good to be at home for the rest of the day, until I have to go again tomorrow, hopefully not until the afternoon.

This afternoon I'm just going to chill out, decompress and page through InStyle and Harper's Bazaar as the storms roll in, and sip on my favorite drink.

Its been a noise last several days, so silence is truly golden and well cherished today. The only sounds I want is paging through magazines, jazz and the rain and thunder later on today. Nothing else. Period.

~Life~

Oh...the spice in life.

I for one love life. While my life hasn't tunred out the way I planned on, I'm not disappointed nor unhappy. I work on the areas in my life that needs improvement and reinvention, a favorite of mine, now if I could just accomplish that. I cherish my life, the loved ones in my life.

I know from my own personal experience that life isn't always grand nor pretty. But I just look on the positive side of things because its helps me get through the grim and unpleasant side of things. Plus being happy, and positive always leads to a longer life.

I see every day as a blank canvas even if you have plans for that day, they can always change, for better or worse. Life beckons to be filled with wonderful memories, learning lessons from many experiences.

Life is meant to be lived well, to be happy, yet you don't have to have the best of everything nor riches to enjoy and live a happy and full life. Its how you live your life that makes it enriching, and happy.

Katie Holmes. She's a very classy woman when it comes to redcarpet style. She knows how to dress, even though I'm sure she has a wonderful stylist.
